Appaaarently, the new cool thing is Cake Pops! I'm no bakerella... actually, im very far from it...so when i decided to make these eleged cake cops, i was convinced i would be blogging a failed attempt at this fun lil sinful dessert.

In the end, it worked, kinda. So, if i can do it, i'm sure my two year old toddlers can take a stab at it. :)
Its a fairly simple dessert you can whip up..and why not, they're delicioso (as my kids might say!) Here's an ameteur's step by step on how to make Red Velvet, cream cheese, chocoloate covered Cake Pops! :)

Ingredients: Red Velvet Cake mix, Cream Cheese Frosting, Milk & White chocolate chips, lolipop sticks, sprinkles & styrofoam block.

Mix ingredients for Cake mix and bake. (follow instructions on box)

When finished baking, let it sit for 10 minutes, crumble cake and mix cream cheese frosting to cookie dough consistancy.

Roll into balls (NOT TOO BIG) and let chill for at least 30 minutes in refridgerator.

dip into chocolate. (as you can see...chocolate should have been creamier.)

So we had to do this...

Lately, I've been experimenting with some new actions, editing techniques, and post process colors. You'll hear me say that when it comes down to wedding photography, I like the clean, natural, (minimal editing) look to photos. This still stands.To me, its timeless. But, every photographer has their own style and look. Still, I love vintage photos. Especially in portraits and everyday life......below are a few from my trip to NYC last Fall. :) I'll be starting a new project with a Vintage Look, so stayed tune on the blog!

So I've officially decided Canons 50mm 1.2L is amazing. I've used/rented/owned lenses and seem to see the 50mm as my "go to" lens. After shooting with a 50mm 1.4, i can truly say there is a significant difference. The speed, color, contrast, blur/bokeh is excellent. It is awesome in low light situations and is an awesome portraiture lens. Here is a little comparison of three lenses. Canon 50mm 1.2, 50mm 1.4 and 24-70 2.8. All shot at ISO 200. If your a photographer, you'll be able to see the significance in the 1.2 & 1.4. Much Creamier!

Looking back on all my memories and experiences in life, well... I can't go on without thanking God. I've been fortunate in many ways and I have truly seen Gods hand at work in My life. He has blessed me with a beautiful family, an amazing job and awesome friends. Today, i really did see and feel the love from friends and family.. God is so good and i look forward to the years ahead that He has in store for me. Thank you for all your beautiful birthday wishes.

Everyone always said that being an aunt is so wonderful, but never did I imagine it would be this amazing. Jonah Liam Perde was born 4 weeks premature at 36 weeks due to some complications my sister had. Thank God both her and baby Jonah are healthy and doing very well! Jonah was born at 5lb 6oz and 17.3 inches long. His innocent face just melts my heart every time i look at him. He is indeed a blessing unto our family.

Jonah did amazing during his photoshoot! As a matter of fact, he was quite the little poser at times :)

I'm an AUNTIE!!!! Jonah Liam Perde was born on 1-22-11 at 5lb 6oz and 17.3 in long! He is just the sweetest itty bitty little thing and a big blessing unto our family. My sister and bro-in-law are extremely happy and thank God for him. He is healthy and doing very very well for 4 week preemie! Here is little Jonah (or Junah as my kids say) and I.

My dear friends Jacquelynn & Carl recently recently welcomed little Matilda into this world. Her feminine little face and sweet eyes are too cute for words. Jaki is extremely creative and hard working. She made each little headband that you see in these photos. They are so unique-and very boutique worthy! The session went very smooth with the exception of limited lighting and only one baby potty accident! Those who photograph newborns, you know that is good! But really, I'm so excited to see what God will unveil for this familys future. They are dear to my heart and I just know Gods love will guide them in their journey together. Congrats again friends!

As soon as I started planning my sister Laura's Baby shower, I knew I'd use the Bloomingals, no doubt.
These girls did such an amazing job on Laura's Bridal shower, i just knew they'd be my go to planners (FOR LIFE) We wanted to plan a small, personal and crafty shower for Laura and the result was perfect. Amazing food, an awesome supportive group of friends and fun games and crafts! The Bloomingals once again exceeded my expectations- as always.They did everything from the invitations to flowers to the decor & banner! They created the cutest favor boxes with rosette fabric flowers. Most importantly they were filled with Bonbon Macarons! Everyone was especially ecstatic to indulge in those phenomenal french macarons! We decided to make baby onesies as our craft activity. They turned out so cute and the girls go so creative. Thanks again to the Bloomingals for putting on an amazing event!
